Yukon, North of Ordinary turns FIVE!!
It's our Birthday! Yukon, North of Ordinary is turning FIVE!  We are so thankful for the five great years of discovering and sharing the best the Yukon has to offer, and we're looking forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.

Six years ago, Harper Street Publishing was a two-person business with a small handful of people who helped us with photography, writing, and editing.  We stayed busy publishing two annual summer travel magazines, The Last Great Road Trip and Abenteuer Alaska Yukon

We had heard through the grapevine that Air North, Yukon's Airline was looking for a Yukon publisher to create their inflight magazine.  So, we decided to pull it all together and poured ourselves into creating a concept that married our respective strengths--our ability to highlight the best of the Yukon, and Air North's trusted reputation and access to both Yukoners and tourists alike.

When Air North accepted our proposal, we shifted our business into high gear and we haven't looked back.  Over the past five years, Yukon, North of Ordinary has grown in to much more than "just" an inflight magazine.  We're now available across Canada in Chapters.Indigo bookstores and have more than 2000 subscribers worldwide.  We like to think our success thus far is a result of our content and how it showcases the people and places that make the Yukon special.  That said, we want to thank all of the Yukoners who have helped create the magazine (both the creative contributors and well as the advertisers who fund it) and those who have let us feature them on our pages.

Our partnership with Air North, Yukon's Airline has grown in to a great friendship and collaboration. Harper Street Publishing and Air North, Yukon's Airline share a desire to unite Yukoners and show off what we have to the world, and working together on each issue to achieve this goal has been tremendously rewarding.

Introducing Yukon, North of Ordinary on Air North flights was part of Air North's 30th anniversary celebration.  So here on our 5th, Air North is celebrating 35 years of dedicated service.  As part of their 35th Anniversary celebration extravaganza they are giving away 35 days of prizes.  Their prize packs are amazing, you can visit their website after February 1st for details.

Our many, many thanks go out to all of the people who have helped us get this magazine off the ground and running (or should we say flying).

Cheers to the next five years and thank you Yukoners.
